Robert Rizzo

Robert Rizzo is a partner in Weil’s market-leading Private Equity practice, based in New York.

Since he started practicing in 2004, Robert has focused on representing private equity sponsors in the full range of transactions, including leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate carve-outs, growth equity investments, SPACs, work-outs, and debt and equity financings. Robert also regularly represents portfolio companies of private equity clients with respect to all their corporate needs, including acquisitions and financings.

Highlights from among the hundreds of deals that Robert has worked on for sponsors over the years (at Weil and prior to joining Weil) include representing:

  • EQT Partners in connection with various matters, including its acquisition of and investment in BillTrust and United Talent Agency.
  • Permira in connection with various matters, including its acquisition of Reorg.
  • PAI Partners in connection with various matters, including its acquisitions of Alphia and HKA and carve-out of Tropicana, Naked and other juice brands from PepsiCo.
  • NRDC Equity Partners in connection with various matters, including acquisition of GALERIA Karstadt Kaufhof GmbH.
  • Clayton Dubilier & Rice in connection with various matters, including the merger of its portfolio company Cynosure with Lutronic Corporation.
