Weil Advises The Kroger Company in its Pending $24.6B Merger with Albertsons

Weil is advising The Kroger Company, an operator of retail food and drug stores, and multi-department jewelry and convenience stores, in its merger with Albertsons Companies, Inc., a food and drug retailer operating, at the time, in 34 states and the District of Columbia in a transaction that implies an Albertson enterprise value of approximately $24.6 billion. The transaction is expected to close in early 2024, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
