
Sabah Khokhar is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Sabah participates in the representation of public and private companies, and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Sabah has been part of the teams advising:*
- Aramco in its entry into an equity purchase agreement with Valvoline Inc. to acquire Valvoline's Global Products Business for $2.65 billion
- Elevance Health, Inc. (f/k/a Anthem, Inc.) in its acquisition of CareBridge and its strategic partnership with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice
- Kohler Co. in the multi-jurisdictional carve-out and sale of its energy business to Platinum Equity and its continued investment in the business in partnership with Platinum Equity
- Newmont Corporation in its entry into a binding scheme implementation deed under which Newmont acquired 100% of Newcrest Mining Limited by way of an Australian court-approved scheme of arrangement for approximately $19.3 billion
- Regnology in its acquisition of CG3-1
- University Pension Plan Ontario in connection with the consolidation of five university pension plans into a jointly sponsored defined benefit pension plan involving the University of Toronto, University of Guelph, and Queen’s University
Prior to joining Weil, Sabah was an associate at another international law firm.
Sabah received her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law where she served as the Director of Strategy of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and an Associate Editor of the Indigenous Law Journal. She received her honors B.A. from the University of Waterloo.
