Biography

Edward Martin
Edward Martin is an associate in Weil’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice and is based in Dallas. Edward participates in the representation of public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Edward has been part of the teams advising:

  • ChampionX Corporation in its $7.8 billion sale to SLB and its $300 million sale of US Synthetic Corporation to LongRange Capital
  • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in the $1.1 billion merger of its portfolio company Sweetwater Royalties LLC with Uranium Royalty Corp.
  • Providence Equity Partners and its portfolio company 365 Retail Markets in its $848 million acquisition of Cantaloupe, Inc. (f/k/a USA Technologies Inc.)

Edward received his J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from The University of Houston Law Center, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Houston Law Review. He received his B.S. from The University of Texas at Austin.
