Tomide Owolabi
Biography

Tomide Owolabi is an associate in Weil’s Technology & IP Transactions practice and is based in New York. Tomide participates in advising Firm clients in a variety of matters relating to the licensing, acquisition, development, sale, use and commercial exploitation of intellectual property and technology. He also participates in advising clients regarding privacy and data security issues in the context of corporate transactions.
Tomide has been part of the teams advising:
- CPP Investments in its $1 billion investment in AlphaGen
- Eli Lilly and Company in its sale of ImClone Systems LLC to Celltrion, Inc.
- Glooko Inc. in its acquisition of Monarch Medical Technologies, LLC
- PSG and its portfolio company mPulse Mobile, Inc. in its acquisition of Trajecsys LLC
Tomide received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he was a Notes Editor for the Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property and was a Judicial Extern in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois for the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall. He received his M.P.H. and B.S., with Honors, from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
