Weil Advises Advent in its Acquisition of Coherent’s Aerospace and Defense Business

Weil is advising Advent in its $400 million acquisition of the Aerospace and Defense business of Coherent Corp. (NYSE: COHR). Coherent’s Aerospace and Defense designs and manufactures optical and laser systems for aerospace and defense applications. The business includes approximately 550 employees and 10 geographic sites. Following close, the Aerospace and Defense business will operate under a new name, which will be announced at a later date. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
