Weil Advises The Hartford in $1.9B Sale of Hartford Funds to Wellington Management

Weil is advising The Hartford, a leader in property and casualty insurance and employee benefits, in the sale of Hartford Funds, a leading provider of investment solutions for the wealth management market, to Wellington Management, one of the world’s leading independent investment managers. Upon closing, Hartford Funds will be integrated into Wellington’s U.S. Wealth business and going forward the business will operate under the Wellington brand. The net present value of the transaction is estimated to be $1.9 billion.
