Weil received honors for its work as international counsel on two landmark financing and private equity/M&A deals which were recognized as Deals of the Year at the 15th Annual China Law & Practice Awards.
The winning deals include the financing of the US$8.7 billion privatization of 58.com (one of the largest ever take-private transactions in China) and the US$4.76 billion take-private of leading plasma producer China Biologic Products Holdings.
The Weil team members involved in these transactions include Chris Welty, Kevin Yao, Graham Price, Alan Wen and Qi Zhang.
