Weil Private Equity partner David Gail was named “Dealmaker: Attorney of the Year” at the 2022 Mergers & Acquisitions Awards, presented by D CEO magazine and the Association for Corporate Growth’s Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, which took place in Dallas on May 5.

In recognizing David for his outstanding achievements, the publication noted that he closed 27 deals in 2021 and specifically singled out David’s co-lead representation of Dallas-based Topgolf International in its $2.6 billion merger with Callaway Golf Company, bringing together two golf and entertainment industry giants.

The D CEO and Association for Corporate Growth Mergers & Acquisitions Awards program recognizes outstanding corporate transactions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the dealmakers who help put them together. D CEO is a regional business magazine covering North Texas.

This recognition follows David’s most recent accolade for being named among D Magazine’s “2022 Best Lawyers in Dallas,” for Corporate Law: Private Equity.
