Sarah C. Borden
Biography

Sarah Borden is a partner in Weil’s Private Funds practice and is based in New York. Sarah advises private investment fund sponsors in the formation, structuring and negotiation of their investment funds. Sarah has also represented private investment fund sponsors and their personnel in connection with economic sharing arrangements and governance issues. In addition, she has represented certain institutional investors in connection with their investments in private equity funds and other private investment funds. Sarah also advises sponsors and certain institutional investors in connection with secondary transactions involving interests in private equity funds.
Sarah’s representative clients include Brookfield Asset Management, Cohesive Capital, Crow Holdings, Genstar Capital, Investment Management Corporation of Ontario, Quad Partners, Strattam Capital, and TPG.
Sarah was recognized as a 2025 “Rising Star” for Fund Formation by Law360.
Sarah received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School and her B.A., cum laude, from Tufts University.
