Chloe Kite
Chloe Kite is an associate in the Technology and IP Transactions practice in London, and a member of the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Group.

Chloe advises large international corporates, private equity firms and brand leaders on a variety of privacy, technology and intellectual property matters.  Chloe has extensive experience advising on the full life-cycle of data protection issues and helps clients navigate the business implications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. Chloe also advises on the intellectual property, information technology and data protection considerations in complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including disposals, private M&A and investments. Chloe is also involved in the Firm's thought leadership, including analysis of legal and industry developments and their impact for the benefit of both clients and the practice.

Prior to joining Weil, Chloe was a senior associate in the Technology and Data team at a leading UK firm in London.

Representative experience includes advising:*

  • Advised a private equity client on its acquisition of a global producer of audio mixing consoles.
  • Advised a private equity client on the data protection issues associated with employee monitoring.
  • Advised a multinational pharmaceutical company on its use of artificial intelligence in connection with its R&D activities and drug development.
  • Advised a global client in the human resources industry on data protection considerations arising out of its implementation of ground-breaking algorithm-based technologies into its core business model.
  • Advised a global multi-category consumer goods business on data protection issues associated with the launch of a new product, including collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Advised a global consumer goods business on complex data privacy issues associated with its web personalisation and other ad-tech activities.
  • Advised a global software and robotics platform business on its agreement for the manufacture and distribution of its low-cost robotic arms, including advice on complex IP and end-customer licensing issues.
  • Advised a leading UK bank on its equity investment and commercial partnership with a Fintech company on its white labelling loyalty linking solution and app for customers.
  • Advised a multinational energy corporation on data protection and cyber security issues arising out of the use of Russian cryptography software.*
