FRANKFURT/MUNICH, September 21, 2026: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP today announced the continued expansion of its Private Equity practice in Germany, with Dr. Olga Stürmer set to join as a partner in the Firm's Frankfurt office, bringing along an exceptional reputation advising top-tier global and European private equity firms on complex, high-profile transactions across sectors. Throughout her career, she has worked with clients on the full range of financial investor-backed transactions, including complex private equity and strategic M&A, leveraged buyouts and other private equity deals.

“Olga is an outstanding talent and a highly respected deal maker,” said Kamyar Abrar, Co-Head of Weil's German private equity practice. “We are firmly on the path to becoming the leading private equity practice in the German market, and with Olga we will take another major step toward that goal. I am delighted that she will be taking this journey with us.”

“The German private equity market is evolving rapidly, and Weil has built an impressive team in a short amount of time,” added Dr. Olga Stürmer. “I'm excited to become part of that momentum, and to advise my clients, who recognize the quality of this platform, one of the best-integrated private equity teams across Europe and the U.S.”

Olga’s arrival will continue the sharply accelerated build-out of Weil's German platform since the end of 2025. She will mark the Firm's ninth partner addition in Germany over that period, alongside new counsel and other high-profile lateral hires. At the partner level, Weil's German Private Equity practice will have doubled in size within twelve months, and the Firm intends to continue building on that momentum.

Globally, the hire also reflects the latest step in the evolution of Weil's Corporate Department. This month the Firm named Kyle Krpata and Michael Lubowitz Co-Chairs of the Corporate Department, elevating Weil’s Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions leaders and giving clients a holistic view of the deal market through a unified platform that further strengthens the Firm for the benefit of its clients and people. Furthermore, several new laterals are slated to join the Firm in the coming weeks.

“Growing our German practice is a core pillar of our international strategy,” said Barry Wolf, Executive Partner of Weil. “With Olga, we will gain a partner whose experience and international outlook align perfectly with our global Private Equity platform. Her upcoming arrival reflects the ambition behind our investment in Germany: we are building a team that will connect the strength of our European and global practices even more closely, giving our clients seamlessly integrated advice.”
