Sebastian Pauls
Dr. Sebastian Pauls is partner in the Corporate practice in our Munich office and will become co-managing partner of the German offices in January 2026.

He supports German and international investors throughout the entire life cycle of Private Equity and M&A transactions on our pan-European platform. Sebastian provides strategic and legal guidance on acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, management participation programs, minority and co-investments, hybrid/structured capital solutions and exit strategies across various industry sectors.

  • Ardian on the acquisition and subsequent sale of the Competence Call Center Group*
  • Equistone and other shareholders on the sale of Sport Group*

Sebastian studied law at Goethe University, Frankfurt (law degree 2004) and earned his doctorate from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (2005) as well as an LL.M. degree in Taxation from New York University (2009). He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court Zweibrücken (2007). Sebastian was admitted to practice in Germany in 2007.

Sebastian is fluent in German and English.
