Kaitlin Descovich, counsel in Weil’s Public Company Advisory Group and based in Washington, D.C., and Christina De Vuono, counsel in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice and based in New York, received the 2021 Cornerstone Award from Lawyers Alliance for New York in recognition of their exceptional pro bono legal services to the nonprofit sector. The awards were presented during a Lawyers Alliance virtual celebration on December 2, 2021.

In addition to Kaitlin’s and Christina’s longstanding commitment to pro bono and service to various clients, Lawyers Alliance made particular note of their collaboration with Women Creating Change on areas of corporate governance such as bylaws, trademarks and governance training. Women Creating Change is a nonprofit that partners with organizations and with New York City women who have been systemically excluded from civic processes to develop programs and influence policies that result in more equitable civic engagement.
