BOSTON, January 6, 2026: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Anne Seymour has rejoined the Firm as a partner in the Banking & Finance practice and will be based in the Boston office. Anne started her career at Weil in the New York office and is the 16th partner to return to Weil since the beginning of 2023.
Anne represents corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors and direct lenders in a wide range of financing transactions, including growth, middle-market and large-cap financings, asset-based loans, acquisition financings and working capital facilities. She has extensive experience across industries, including healthcare, industrials, technology and consumer services, and has advised on financing products of all types.
“It is our pleasure to welcome Anne back to Weil,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “Her background and thoughtful, collaborative approach will be a valuable addition as we strive to meet our clients’ wide-ranging financing needs.”
“Anne’s practice is well aligned with the needs of our Banking & Finance group,” said Michael J. Aiello, Chairman of Weil’s Corporate Department. “Her broad substantive experience will bolster our ability to support clients across the full spectrum of financing transactions.”
“We are excited to welcome Anne back as we continue to strengthen and expand our practice,” said Justin D. Lee and Andrew Colao, Co-Heads of Weil’s Banking & Finance practice. “Anne’s experience guiding corporates and sponsors through a wide variety of financing arrangements will enhance our ability to provide best-in-class counsel to our clients.”
Weil has expanded its market-leading Banking & Finance practice with notable additions over the past year. The Firm has recently added three partners to the group: Tom Hashagen, Thomas Mastoras and Meredith Mackey, enhancing its capabilities across a broad range of complex financing matters. Complementing those additions, Weil recently elevated two Banking & Finance lawyers to partner: Nick Nikic and Kai Zhang, effective January 1, 2026.
Weil also continues to strengthen its presence in Boston with growth across key practice areas. Anne is the fifth partner to join Weil’s Boston office since June 2025, following the arrivals of Complex Commercial Litigation partner Adam Gershenson; IP, Technology & Science Litigation partner Chris Henry; Employment partner Xander Tabloff and Privacy & Cybersecurity partner Liza Cotter. The Firm also elevated Boston lawyer Becki Steinberg to partner in the Private Funds practice, effective January 1, 2026.
Anne returns to Weil from Foley Hoag LLP where she was a partner. She was previously a lawyer in Weil’s Banking & Finance Group in New York.
“I am excited to be rejoining Weil at such an active period for the global Banking & Finance practice,” said Anne. “I look forward to working with this talented team as we support our clients across their most important matters.”
