Thomas Henry

Thomas J. Henry is Co-Head of Weil’s Real Estate practice and is based in New York. Tom has been the leading lawyer on some of the country’s largest and most high-profile commercial real estate transactions in recent years. His practice focuses on advising domestic and foreign real estate companies, private equity funds, and institutional lenders and investors in acquisitions and dispositions, financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and leasing and development transactions both in the United States and internationally involving all major real estate sectors.

Tom is recognized as a leading lawyer for Real Estate by Chambers USA 2024 and is recognized nationally as a leading practitioner by The Legal 500 US 2024, where he is described as being “in a class of his own” and “should be considered one of the best if not the best real estate attorney in the country,” further underscoring that “he has a combination of legal precision and a business acumen that is difficult to match.” Tom is also recognized as a “Highly Regarded” lawyer for Real Estate Acquisitions & Finance in New York by IFLR1000 2024. Tom is also included in the “500 Leading Global Real Estate Lawyers” list by Lawdragon 2024 and the “500 Leading Dealmakers in America” list by Lawdragon 2025. Additionally, Tom was profiled as a Law360 MVP in 2014, 2015 and 2020 and was previously recognized as a Rising Star in 2012. He is also a former member of the Law360’s Real Estate Advisory Board.

Tom is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.
