Biography
Priyata Patel is counsel in Weil’s Washington D.C. office, and a member of the Firm’s Patent Litigation practice. Priyata has experience with disputes involving life sciences and medical device patents, and has represented clients in concurrent litigations before U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Additionally, Priyata has extensive experience drafting appellate briefs and case dispositive motions.
From 2018 to 2019, Priyata completed an 18-month clerkship for the Hon. Kathleen O’Malley for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School and her B.A. in Biology from Barnard College.
Priyata is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Washington, D.C. bar, and the New York State Bar.
