Isolde Tsukabayashi
Isolde Tsukabayashi is an associate in the Banking & Finance Group based in the Hong Kong office. Isolde advises private equity sponsors, financial institutions and corporate borrowers and has particular experience in leveraged and acquisition finance.

Prior to joining Weil, Isolde worked at leading international law firms in Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Isolde’s representative experience include:*

  • The ad hoc group of bondholders in relation to the restructuring of more than US$7 billion of offshore debt of China Aoyuan Group Limited and its subsidiary, Add Hero Holdings Limited, which included more than US$3 billion of offshore bond debt. (awarded Asia-Pacific Restructuring Deal of the Year for 2024 at the IFR Awards).
  • EQT Private Capital Asia (formerly Baring Private Equity Asia) on the sale of HCP Global Packaging, a global leading cosmetics packaging manufacturer (awarded Cross Border Deal of the Year by China Business Law Journal).
  • Mr. Rick Yan (Co-Founder and CEO of 51job, Inc.) on the US$4.3 billion US take-private of 51job, Inc., China’s largest online recruitment service provider (awarded Deal of the Year by China Business Law Journal and TMT Deal of the Year by Asia Legal Awards).
  • EQT Private Capital Asia (formerly Baring Private Equity Asia) on the US$600 million facility in connection with take-private of Hexaware Technologies (awarded Best Indian LBO deal by The Asset Country Awards and Best Leveraged/Acquisition Finance and Best Loan by Global Capital Asia Awards).
  • Warburg Pincus, General Atlantic, Ocean Link Partners and Mr. Michael Yao on the US$8.7 billion take-private of 58.com, China’s largest online classifieds marketplace (awarded Finance Deal of the Year by Asia Legal Awards, Thomson Reuters ALB Hong Kong Awards and China Law & Practice Awards).
  • Blackstone on the financing for its investment in the Embassy Office Parks REIT in India (awarded Finance Deal of the Year by IFLR1000 India Awards).
  • Noble Group on its multi-billion dollar global restructuring (awarded Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency and Restructuring at The Asia Legal Awards, and Restructuring Deal of the Year at the IFLR Asia Pacific Awards)
