Barry Zhang
Barry Zhang is an associate in Weil’s Patent Litigation practice and is based in New York. His practice includes cases across all patent forums, including U.S. district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the International Trade Commission.

Barry has served on Weil teams representing clients across a wide range of technological fields, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, computer science, and mechanical engineering. He has experience spanning the lifetime of a litigation, from pre-filing investigations to formulating infringement and invalidity positions, managing discovery, working with fact and expert witnesses, taking depositions, and drafting dispositive motions, through to trial.

Barry earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar. He earned his B.Sc. with Honours in Biochemistry from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he graduated as a member of the Dean’s Honour List.
