Biography

Annagiulia Zanazzo is Counsel in Weil’s Antitrust practice, where she advises on all aspects of EU, UK and Italian competition law, including merger control, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, restrictive practices, and litigation before the EU and the Italian courts. Prior to joining Weil, Annagiulia worked at other international law firms in London and Brussels, and completed a traineeship at the European Commission DG Competition.
Annagiulia’s experience encompasses a broad range of industries, including technology and digital markets, financial services, consumer goods, energy, chemicals, and industrial/manufacturing sectors.
Annagiulia was recently listed as one of the top young antitrust lawyers most active on EMEA deals by MergerLinks as part of their Rising Stars series.

- A third party on the Vodafone / CK Hutchison JV CMA Phase 2 merger inquiry
- Advent International and NielsenIQ on NielsenIQ’s combination with GfK
- Microsoft on its $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Inc.
- Scandinavian Airlines in connection with the antitrust aspects of its global restructuring and chapter 11 reorganization
- Mastercard on its $3.2 billion acquisition of Nets' account-to-account payments business
- Mondelēz on its $2 billion acquisition of Chipita
- Advent International on a range of transactions
- CPPIB on its £1.4 billion sale of Liberty Living to Unite Group
- Partners Group on the merger control and FDI aspects of several portfolio acquisitions
- Eni on a number of acquisitions in the oil & gas and energy sector
- Imerys on a number of acquisitions in the mineral sector
- Global consumer goods, financial services and tech companies on a number of antitrust investigations before the EU Commission, UK CMA and Italian competition authority
Annagiulia is dual qualified in Italy and England and Wales. She is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English and French.
