Steffen Giolda
Steffen Giolda is a counsel in the Corporate practice of the Munich office. He advises on all legal aspects of cross-border private equity and M&A transactions with a particular emphasis on antitrust law and other regulatory matters. He is also experienced in acquisition financing transactions.

Since joining Weil, Steffen has advised, among others:

  • Alterna Capital Partners on the sale of Graphit Kropfmühl GmbH to AMG
  • ETNA Capital in the majority acquisition in Brolis Defence Group, the largest private equity investment in the defense sector in the Baltic States to date
  • Founders of Tipico, a German sports betting provider, in connection with the combination of the €4.6 billion Tipico business with the €4.8 billion Betclic business owned by Banijay Group
  • GREENPEAK on the formation of atania, an independent platform for top-tier expertise in tax advisory, audit, transaction advisory and related professional services
  • H.I.G. Capital in its take-private acquisition of Converge Technology Solutions in an all-cash transaction at an enterprise value of approximately C$1.3 billion
  • Oaktree Funds in the sale of LifeFit Group, a German health and fitness platform with more than 140 clubs (including brands such as FitnessFirst, Elbgym, Barry's and Club Pilates) to Waterland Private Equity Investments
  • The Carlyle Group and CVC Capital Partners in their acquisition of PAS Financial Advisory AG through their joint portfolio company CFGI

Steffen studied law at the University of Freiburg in Breisgau (2013) and received a Master’s Degree from King’s College London in International Financial Law (2016). He was admitted to practice in Germany in 2015.

Steffen is fluent in German and English.
