Sagarika Sridhar

Sagarika is an associate in the London Finance practice and member of the Private Equity Infrastructure team. She advises industry sponsors, infrastructure and private equity funds, commercial bank lenders, multilateral agencies and institutional investors on acquisitions, refinancings and project financings.

Prior to joining Weil, Sagarika was part of the infrastructure finance practice of a magic circle law firm in London and New York.  She has also spent time on secondment in the credit team at Global Infrastructure Partners.

Representative experience as part of a team, including prior to joining Weil, includes advising:

  • JP Morgan’s Infrastructure Investment Fund and Sonnedix on its EUR 3.25 billion refinancing of existing debt financings and the creation of a new investment platform designed to expand the company’s renewable energy business and projects across Europe. (Awarded ‘Refinance Deal of the Year (Renewables- Europe) 2024' by IJ Global)
  • lenders in relation to the acquisition financing provided to Boliden Mineral AB for the purposes of acquiring two new mines in Sweden.
  • lenders in relation to the acquisition financing provided to British Columbia Investment Management Corporation for the purposes of acquiring BBGI Global Infrastructure SA.
  • IDB Invest in its sustainability-linked bond financing to Liberty Costa Rica. (Awarded ‘Infrastructure Financing of the Year: Central America 2023 by LatinFinance’).
  • Scotiabank and SMBC on its acquisition financing to Saavi Energía (a GIP portfolio company) for the acquisition of the 875 MW Tierra Mojada combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Mexico.
  • IDB Invest on the refinancing provided to Salaverry Terminal Internacional for the operation of the Salaverry Multipurpose Port located in the Republic of Peru. (Awarded ‘Latin America Ports Deal of the Year 2022’ by Proximo).
  • BNP Paribas, Société Générale and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation on the financing to Enel X AMPCI L1 SpA, a special purpose entity owned by InfraBridge and Enel X Chile, in support of the acquisition and leasing of up to 433 electric buses and related charging infrastructure to Metbus, as operator, for the public transport system of Santiago, Chile. (Awarded 'Americas Deal of the Year: Transport 2021 by IJ Investor; ‘Social Infrastructure Financing of the Year 2021’ by LatinFinance; ‘Latin America Transport Deal of the Year 2021’ by IJ Global; and ‘Latin America Emerging Energy Deal of the Year 2020’ by Proximo)
  • BNP Paribas, Société Générale and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation on the upsizing and extension of loans to an InfraBridge portfolio company to fund additional electric bus concessions for the Transantiago public transit system in Santiago. Chile. (Awarded '2023 Latin America Transport Deal of the Year’ by Proximo)
  • Bancomext, BBVA, Credit Agricole, EKF, Natixis and Proparco as lenders to a portfolio financing of four solar plants and two wind farms being developed in Mexico by ENGIE.
  • Dutch Infrastructure Fund (DIF) in connection with the refinancing of acquisition debt of its portfolio company American Roads.
