Biography

Max Bloom
Max Bloom is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Appeals and Strategic Counseling practice groups. He focuses on complex trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts.

His recent notable experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:

  • A biotechnology company in an appeal to the Federal Circuit from the Patent Trial & Appeals Board.
  • A global food and beverage company in a class action alleging consumer fraud and deception.
  • A major healthcare company in a federal bench trial relating to a proposed acquisition of a digital advertising company.
  • A major telecommunications company in four related appeals to the Federal Circuit from the Patent Trial & Appeals Board and from a federal district court.

Max received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, and was named a finalist in the Upper Level Ames Moot Court Competition. Max earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and English Literature from the University of Chicago, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to joining Weil, Max served as a law clerk to the Honorable Neomi Rao of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He also previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
