Jesse Kitnick is an associate in the Restructuring Department of Weil’s New York office.
Jesse received his J.D., cum laude, from Cardozo School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Cardozo Law Review. Prior to joining Weil, Jesse worked for a national law firm and focused on a broad range of insolvency-related matters.

Debtor/Company-Side Experience:
- Steward Health Care System LLC, the largest private, physician-owned for-profit healthcare network in the United States with over $8 billion in debt obligations ($7 billion of which is in long-term lease commitments), in its chapter 11 cases.
- Terraform Labs Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based software developer in its chapter 11 cases, involving billions of dollars in claims asserted by the SEC. Terraform Labs developed and supported (i) software used to create and run the Terra blockchain network, a unique decentralized digital ledger of peer-to-peer transactions, and (ii) a suite of tools, protocols, and applications that operate on the Terra blockchain.
Creditor/Sponsor/Other Party Experience:
- Eli Lilly and Company and its subsidiary Prevail Therapeutics, Inc. as creditors and purchaser of certain intellectual property in the insolvency proceedings of Lacerta Therapeutics, Inc., a gene therapy company.
- An ad hoc group of secured noteholders in the chapter 11 cases of 99 Cents Only Stores, a discount retailer.
