Biography
Emily is an Executive Compensation & Benefits associate in Weil’s Tax Department and is based in New York. Emily participates in the representation of Firm clients with respect to the executive compensation, employee benefits and ERISA issues in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, initial public offerings and other strategic transactions.
Emily has been part of the teams advising:
- Bell Canada in its C$5.0 billion acquisition of Ziply Fiber
- Midwest Fiber Holdings LP in its entry into a $285 million stalking horse asset purchase agreement with Bluebird MidWest, LLC, an affiliate of Bluebird Fiber, in connection with its chapter 11 proceedings
- Point Field Partners Holding Company, LLC in its acquisition of C & B Operations, LLC and R&M Commercial Properties, LLC
- PSG in the closing of PSG Sequel, a $2 billion continuation fund; and 2ndWave Software LLC, in its acquisition of JAMS from Fortra (a portfolio company of TA Associates)
- Stripes Group and Siete Foods in Siete’s $1.2 billion sale to PepsiCo, Inc.
Prior to joining Weil, Emily was an associate at KPMG LLP.
Emily received her J.D., with Honors, from SMU Dedman School of Law and her M.B.A from Southern Methodist University Cox School, where she served as a Staff Editor of the SMU International Law Review. She received her B.B.A, with Honors, in Finance and Accounting from Baylor University.
