Edward advises asset managers on the establishment and operation of private funds and other investment products across all major alternative investment strategies, including private equity, infrastructure, renewables and credit. His experience includes advising both investment managers and institutional investors on a range of regulatory and commercial matters, the drafting and negotiation of documentation relating to the structuring of investment products, the acquisition and disposal of investments, co-investments, secondaries, asset manager M&A transactions, and the impact of the European Union’s Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).
During his career, Edward has spent time on secondment at TT International and Climate Asset Management. Prior to joining Weil, Edward was a member of the private funds team at a major international law firm. Clients for whom Edward has acted include Octopus Energy, HSBC Asset Management, Climate Asset Management and Nuveen.
