Weil received two top awards in the restructuring category at the 2022 International Financial Law Review Americas Awards.

The Firm was named “Restructuring Team of the Year,” highlighting the expertise of Weil’s market-leading Restructuring practice.

Weil also was recognized for its work on Hertz Global’s chapter 11 restructuring case, which was selected as "Restructuring Deal of the Year." Weil advised the lead arrangers and lenders in connection with providing the approximately $2.5 billion exit facility in Hertz’s case, which IFLR called “a dramatic case with a heavy global footprint” that offers the market an “important case study.”

The awards celebrated law firms that played key roles in “the most legally innovative cross-border transactions that closed in 2021.” International Financial Law Review made its selections based on independent research, consisting of submissions and interviews with lawyers and clients across the industry.

The awards were announced at a ceremony in New York on May 19.
