NEW YORK, AUGUST 18, 2025: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that it has enhanced its global ITC and IP enforcement offerings to respond to client needs in an increasingly competitive global technology and innovation landscape.
Renowned ITC litigator Eric S. Namrow has joined the Firm as Global Chair of ITC and Cross-Border IP Enforcement, and he will be based in the Washington, D.C. office.
Eric brings nearly 30 years of experience handling some of the most high-profile and technically complex intellectual property disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and U.S. courts. He is a nationally recognized leader in ITC litigation and international IP enforcement.
Eric has litigated more than 125 ITC investigations — including over 40 through trial — and has represented clients in critical proceedings before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Court of International Trade and the Federal Circuit. Eric has received numerous accolades for his work. In 2025, he was named “ITC Litigator of the Year” by Managing Intellectual Property, and Chambers, Legal 500, IP Law360 and IAM Patent 1000 have all recognized Eric’s accomplishments. He recently served as President of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association, the premier professional organization for ITC practitioners.
“Eric is one of the nation’s most accomplished ITC litigators and a standout addition to our global IP platform,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “His strategic insight, trial experience and leadership in cross-border enforcement matters will bring extraordinary value to our clients and further strengthen our position at the forefront of complex IP litigation.”
“Weil is continuing its effort to develop the preeminent IP litigation practice in the country,” said David Lender, Co-Chair of Weil’s global Litigation Department. “Given the importance of the ITC in IP enforcement, we are thrilled to have Eric join and lead that part of our practice.”
“We are delighted to welcome Eric who will play an integral role in the continued expansion of our renowned IP practice,” said Chantale Fiebig, Co-Managing Partner of Weil’s Washington, D.C. office. “He brings outstanding leadership and a long history of confronting, and prevailing in, the most complex IP matters for the world’s most sophisticated clients.”
In his new role, Eric will lead Weil’s global strategy for ITC and cross-border IP enforcement, coordinating with colleagues across the Firm’s international offices to help clients protect and enforce their intellectual property on a global scale.
Eric has been consistently recognized by leading directories for his effectiveness and client-focused approach. Global Intellectual Property has praised him for his “absolute command of the relevant technology,” while Legal 500 calls him a “superstar IP lawyer” who is “well respected by the staff at the ITC.” Under his leadership, his prior team earned Managing IP’s 2023 award for “ITC Practice of the Year.”
“I’m excited to join Weil, a firm with unmatched litigation talent and a global platform,” said Eric Namrow. “Clients today face increasingly sophisticated cross-border IP threats. Weil offers the depth and agility needed to meet those challenges head-on.”
