NEW YORK, August 11, 2025: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP today announced the continued expansion of its renowned Intellectual Property practice with the additions of highly skilled litigators Chris Henry and Gaby LaHatte, who join the Firm as partners in Weil’s new IP, Technology & Science Litigation practice. Chris will practice from Weil’s Boston office while Gaby will be based in San Francisco.

Their appointments quickly follow those of their former colleagues Doug Lumish, Jeff Homrig and Gabe Gross, who joined Weil in a group move on July 31. As Co-Heads of Weil’s IP, Technology & Science Litigation practice, Doug and Jeff are anchoring the Firm’s growing, nationwide technology litigation capabilities.

“We are delighted to welcome Chris and Gaby to Weil as we continue the exciting growth of our IP litigation team,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “Their arrival is the latest milestone in our strategy to build the industry’s premier IP litigation practice, with much more to come.”

“Chris and Gaby are outstanding trial lawyers with extensive experience representing some of the world’s largest technology and life sciences companies in their most important cases,” said David Lender, Co-Chair of Weil’s global Litigation Department. “Clients in these cutting-edge industries require creative and pragmatic solutions to their most complex issues, and Chris and Gaby are uniquely qualified to provide such sophisticated counsel.”

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Chris and Gaby as we continue our expansion,” said Doug Lumish and Jeff Homrig, Co-Heads of Weil’s IP, Technology & Science Litigation Practice. “Both are exceptionally talented litigators who have consistently prevailed for clients in bet-the-company cases. They will strengthen our trial readiness and our ability to guide clients at any phase of litigation.”

Chris Henry represents clients in high-stakes trade secret and IP litigation before U.S. district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the U.S. International Trade Commission. He represents clients in intellectual property litigation involving a wide variety of technologies, including software, electromechanical devices, medical technologies and semiconductors. Chris has helped clients obtain numerous trial victories, multi-million-dollar settlements, summary judgment and other favorable resolutions.

“I am excited to join Weil as the Firm makes significant investments to further enhance its first-class IP litigation practice,” said Chris Henry. “It will be a pleasure to work alongside my former colleagues and the Firm’s renowned litigators in building a market-leading practice that will shape the field for years to come.”

Gaby LaHatte represents market-leading companies in innovative patent litigation and trade secret matters. She brings a deep understanding of clients’ business operations and the science on which they are built to help navigate litigation before the federal district courts, the International Trade Commission and in appeals before the Federal Circuit involving myriad life sciences and technology matters.

“The opportunity to participate in the buildout of Weil’s market-leading IP platform is unmatched,” said Gaby LaHatte. “I look forward to collaborating with my former and new colleagues in helping solve our sophisticated global clients’ most challenging patent and trade secret matters.”
