Chantale Fiebig, Co-Managing Partner of Weil’s Washington, D.C. office, and Lyuba Goltser, Co-Head of Weil’s Public Company Advisory Group, were selected among the winners of Corporate Counsel’s 2023 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards.

Chantale was selected in the “Managing Partner of the Year” category and Lyuba was named in the “Thought Leadership” category. Winners were honored at an awards ceremony in New Orleans on October 18 and the magazine subsequently published Q&As with those recognized.

Reflecting on her early career, Chantale said she was grateful for her time as an assistant federal prosecutor, where she learned to be an effective trial lawyer. She also noted “the deep satisfaction I find in working closely with my clients and presenting their cases in the courtroom.”

Among the best leadership advice she has received in her career, Chantale said, is to invest deeply in teams, value colleagues and to “listen more than you talk.” She explains that these guidelines make it easier to manage a busy life and have provided her with meaningful insight into the issues important to attorneys, staff and clients.

In her feature, Lyuba told the publication that she focuses on providing “excellent legal, business and practical advice to my clients while making an impact at the Firm every day.” She noted that she feels fortunate to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders at major public companies.

Lyuba also noted how her leadership roles at Weil and her work at the Firm “continue to be challenging, intellectually motivating and rewarding.”
