Menachem Danishefsky
Menachem Danishefsky is a partner in Weil’s Tax practice and is based in New York. Menachem’s practice focuses primarily on the tax aspects of private fund formation, including private equity funds, credit fund, managed accounts and royalty funds. Menachem’s advises on domestic and international tax matters impacting fund managers, investors and their investments.

Menachem’s experience brings an expansive perspective on the tax matters pertinent to his clients. That experience spans an array of tax matters including fund formation, mergers and acquisitions and sovereign wealth.

Prior to joining Weil, Menachem was a partner at a major international law firm and, prior to that, practiced Israeli tax law at a Tel Aviv-based law firm.

  • Advised Apollo Global Management in the launch of its $20B tenth leveraged buyout fund.
  • Advised Apollo Global Management in the launch of its $2B Apollo / Athene Dedicated Investment Program II.
  • Advised Apollo Global Management and S3 in the launch of the S3 Credit Secondaries Platform.
  • Advised Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in its investment in multiple direct lending platforms.
  • Advised Lunate Capital Management in the launch of multiple investment fund platforms with commitments from Abu Dhabi Development Company (ADQ) with over $50B of assets under management.
  • Advised Lyric Capital Group, a market leader in the music royalty space and the owner of independent music publisher Spirit Music Group, in the launch of its first fund and exit of that fund, as well as the launch of its second fund and various SMAs.
  • Advised the founders of Apollo Global Management on the roll-up of interests into a new public company and the merger with Athene.
  • Advised on tax aspects of the $6B acquisition of the Washington Commanders by a consortium led by Josh Harris.
  • Advised the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia in its $20B investment in the Blackstone Infrastructure Fund.
  • Advised Mubadala Investment Company in its purchase of a general partner stake in Silver Lake.
  • Advised Mubadala Capital on its investment with Aquarian Holdings, an insurance asset manager
  • Advised Mubadala Capital on the launch of its Brazilian fund products and VC funds.
