NEW YORK, JUNE 23, 2025: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Menachem Danishefsky has joined the Firm as a partner in the Tax Department, based in the New York office.
Menachem’s practice spans an array of tax matters primarily associated with the private investment fund space, including mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, international tax and financial restructuring.
“Menachem is highly regarded for his work guiding private equity investors and fund managers in their most complex tax matters,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “We are delighted to welcome him to Weil.”
“Menachem’s unique skills and experience make him an ideal fit for our team as the Firm strives to meet the growing needs of our clients in the private funds space,” said Joseph Pari, Co-Chair of Weil’s Tax Department. “His sophisticated knowledge of private funds tax law will be of great value to our clients as we continue to grow our platform in the years ahead.”
Menachem advises both sponsors and limited partners on the tax aspects of investment structures. His clients include private equity and hedge fund managers, as well as sovereign wealth funds and sovereign wealth-related platforms. He assists clients in navigating specific and general tax concerns that arise in a number of industries.
Menachem joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he was a partner in that firm’s Tax practice.
“Weil’s sophisticated, ‘one-firm’ platform is an ideal match for my practice, both culturally and substantively,” Menachem said. “I am excited to join my new colleagues and look forward to bringing my expertise to bear on behalf of Weil’s top-tier clients.”
