Biography

Mehjabin Ahmed is an Antitrust and Foreign Investment associate/counsel in London. She advises on all aspects of EU and UK competition law, including merger control, foreign direct investment, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, restrictive practices and general counselling and compliance. She advises global corporations and private equity across a wide of range of industry sectors including consumer goods, energy, industrial / manufacturing, technology, transport and logistics sectors.
Representative experience as part of a team, including prior to joining Weil, includes advising:
- Brookfield on the merger control and FDI aspects of a number of matters
- Unilever on the merger control aspects of the sale of its water purification business, Pureit*
- Infracapital on the merger control and foreign direct investment aspects of its sale of a 50% stake in Last Mile Infrastructure Group*
- ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company KSCP on the merger control aspects of its $3.3 billion sale of a portfolio of aircraft to Macquarie AirFinance*
- Mondelēz on the merger control aspects of its $2 billion acquisition of Chipita*
- DP World on its acquisition of Imperial Logistics*
- DP World on its acquisition of syncreon*
- Global companies on a number of antitrust investigations before the EU Commission*
Prior to joining Weil, Mehjabin trained and worked as an associate at an international law firm in London.
