Biography
Manuel-Peter Fringer is a partner in the Munich office with a focus on M&A transactions for financial sponsors and strategic investors. Manuel-Peter has advised on a wide range of private equity as well as public and private M&A transactions in various industries, covering both domestic and cross-border acquisitions and disposals. He has also extensive experience in carve-out transactions, joint ventures and complex corporate reorganizations for private equity portfolio companies and major corporates.
Representative experience includes:
- Lone Star Funds in various transactions including:
- the acquisition of the XSYS division (specialized in the development and supply of printing plates, sleeves and adapters, and pre-press equipment to the packaging industry) from the Flint Group
- the EUR 5.2bn sale of MBCC Group (the former BASF Construction Chemicals group) to Sika AG
- Oaktree Funds in connection with:
- the sale of LifeFit Group, a leading German health and fitness platform with more than 140 clubs (including brands such as FitnessFirst, Elbgym, Barry's and Club Pilates) to Waterland Private Equity Investments
- the acquisition of Aqseptence Group, a leading equipment and solutions provider for water treatment and liquid/solid separation
- Oaktree Funds/Aqseptence Group in connection with the sale of its VTS business, a former business division of Aqseptence Group engaged in the field of wastewater treatment disposal systems as well as gas and water supply systems, to a financial sponsor
- KKR in various transactions including:
- the acquisition of a majority stake in online payment service provider heidelpay group (now: Unzer group) from AnaCap Financial Partners

- KKR / Upfield in the acquisition of Arivia, a leading developer of plant-based cheese and other dairy and dairy-free products and owner of the brand VIOLIFE
- TTL Group / KKR in the sale of GEG Group to DIC Asset AG (now Branicks Group AG)
- Alibaba.com in the acquisition of Visable Group from Capvis
- Berkshire Partners / Parts Town Group in the acquisition of REPA Group from Riverside
- Carlyle and CVC Capital Partners in their acquisition of PAS Financial Advisory through their joint portfolio company CFGI
- ChargePoint Holdings Inc. in the acquisition of has.to.be GmbH, a full service software provider for EV charging stations

Manuel-Peter attended the University of Bayreuth, where he studied law and economics (first state exam 2007, second state exam (law degree) 2012). He was admitted to practice in Germany in 2013.
Manuel-Peter is fluent in German and English and conversant in French.
