_Jonathan Stott
Jonathan Stott is a partner in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in San Francisco. He represents private equity sponsors, alternative asset managers and operating companies in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-out transactions, growth and structured equity investments, joint ventures and other transformative capital events. His experience extends across a wide range of industry sectors, including aerospace, building products, consumer brands and products, financial services, food products, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, software and technology.

Jonathan has extensive experience counseling private equity sponsors, including Blackstone, KKR, Cerberus Capital Management, Centerbridge Partners, Graham Partners and others, as well as their portfolio companies.

Jonathan is recognized as a Rising Star for M&A and Private Equity by IFLR1000.

Prior to joining Weil, Jonathan was a partner at another international law firm.

Jonathan received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
