Biography
Hans-Christian Mick is an Associate in the Banking & Finance practice of our Frankfurt office who specializes in acquisition and real estate finance as well as other financing matters. Before joining Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, he worked as a lawyer for a major German law firm and in the law department of a large German healthcare company. Hans-Christian has extensive experience in representing borrowers and financial institutions in national and cross-border financing transactions.
Hans-Christian studied law at the University of Frankfurt (law degree 2006) and was admitted to practice in Germany in 2013.
Since joining Weil, Hans-Christian's experience includes advising:
- Foundever Group, a global customer experience outsourcing company, on its German financing arrangements in connection with its holistic recapitalization, reducing debt by nearly $900 million
- Lone Star Funds in the financing aspects of its €4 billion acquisition of ContiTech from Continental AG
- Schaltbau Holding AG, a Carlyle Group portfolio company, on the sale of Bode Group to Waterland
- ETNA Capital on the majority acquisition of Brolis Defence Group
- TI Automotive on the transformation and sale of its plastic injection molding business in Mühlacker
- TDR Capital LLP on the sale of NKD Group to Mr Price Group Limited
- KKR Capital Markets Partners and other lenders on Environmental Resources Management’s $1.3 billion amendment and extension
- the founders of Tipico Group on their cross-border transaction with Banijay Group
- Glencore Canada Corporation on its acquisition of the assets of Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. in CCAA and Chapter 15 proceedings
- Superior Industries Group, a leading manufacturer of aluminum wheels, on its European transformation
- certain financing sources on the financing of Kymera International’s acquisition of Fiven ASA and full recapitalization
- Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. on the sale of LifeFit Group to Waterland Private Equity
- NRDC Equity Management Company on its acquisition of Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof out of insolvency
