Furqaan Siddiqui is an associate in the Restructuring Department of Weil’s New York office.
Furqaan’s practice focuses on debtors, creditors and equity interest holders in domestic and cross border corporate restructurings. Prior to joining Weil, Furqaan was an associate in the restructuring group of an international law firm. Furqaan received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law. He received his B.A. from Loyola University Chicago. Furqaan is fluent in Urdu.

Debtor/Company-Side Experience:
- A leading provider of fiber network solutions in connection with its out-of-court recapitalization of nearly $1 billion in existing debt and over $100 million of new capital.
- Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, and its affiliate, Arctic Aviation Assets DAC, in their U.S. chapter 15 cases to obtain recognition of the restructuring of $5.9 billion of liabilities through Irish examinership and Norwegian reconstruction proceedings.
Creditor/Other Experience:
- Digital Currency Group, Inc. (parent of Genesis Capital) in connection with the chapter 11 cases of Genesis Global Holdco, LLC with approximately $3.4 billion in debt as well as the BVI Liquidation Proceeding and chapter 15 case of Three Arrows Capital, Ltd. with approximately $3.5 billion in debt.
