Florian Striefler
Florian Striefler is an associate in the Tax department of the Munich office. He advises on national and international tax law focusing on M&A and private equity investments as well as on tax-efficient reorganizations.

Florian has advised on a number of transactions including:

  • Paprec Group, an international provider of comprehensive solutions for waste management and green energy production, in the tax law aspects of its acquisition of a majority stake in Brantner Green Solutions
  • TI Automotive, a global tier 1 automotive supplier, on the tax law aspects of the successful transformation and sale of its plastic injection molding business in Mühlacker, Germany
  • Schaltbau Holding AG, an international provider of systems and components for the transportation and capital goods industries, on the tax law aspects of the sale of Bode Group to Waterland Private Equity
  • Founders of Tipico, a German sports betting provider, on the tax aspects of its business combination of Tipico’s €4.6 billion business with Betclic’s €4.8 billion business, owned by Banijay Group, creating one of Europe’s largest sports betting and online gaming providers

Florian studied law at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (law degree 2018). He completed his legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg (2020). Before joining Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, he worked as a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance in Munich. He was admitted to practice in Germany in 2024.

Florian is fluent in German and English.
