Coty Allen is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in Silicon Valley. Coty participates in the representation of public and private companies in a variety of transactional matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and divestitures.
Coty joined Weil as a summer associate in 2022.
Coty has been part of the teams advising:
- Genstar Capital in its acquisition of Abracon LLC
- TCV in the sale of Avalor Technologies, Ltd. to Zscaler, Inc.; and along with JMI and other shareholders, in the sale of its stake in Themis Solutions (d/b/a Clio)
- Trive Capital and its portfolio company EarthLink, LLC in its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of QX Networking & Design, Inc.
Coty received his J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Senior Editor for the Georgetown Law Technology Review, received a Certificate in Transnational Legal Studies and was a member of the Cyber Law Society. He received his B.A. from the University of Missouri - Columbia.
