D Magazine has named Private Equity partner Richard Frye and Banking & Finance Co-Head Courtney S. Marcus to its 2025 “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list.

This is the first time Rick has made the list and the 11th consecutive year that Courtney has received this honor.

Rick represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, minority equity investments, venture capital investments and other complex corporate transactions.

Courtney advises private equity firms, public and private companies, and other investors in a wide variety of financial transactions. She is a member of Weil’s Management Committee and served as managing partner of Weil's Dallas office from 2015-2025.  

The “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list is published annually and honors attorneys who offer unparalleled counsel in their primary area of practice. To select each year’s class of honorees, D Magazine asks attorneys to nominate two lawyers outside their respective firms and one within their firm across all voting categories, based upon their firsthand experience with the nominees. After being nominated by their peers, honorees are evaluated by a panel of distinguished lawyers and D Magazine’s editors to be named to the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list.
