Chantale Fiebig

Chantale Fiebig is a nationally-recognized trial lawyer who serves on the Global Management Committee and is the Co-Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office. Chantale serves as lead trial counsel in high-stakes business disputes, including for clients in the retail, tech, consumer products, financial services, and energy sectors. In addition, she has extensive experience defeating nationwide class actions. Her recent work has tracked some of the most visible and consequential societal and business developments, from the opioid epidemic to Cambridge Analytica to alleged conspiracies in the financial industry.
In just the last several years, Chantale has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict, earning widespread recognition for her expertise and success in complex litigation. Notably, she was most recently named to Forbes’ 2026 list of America’s Top Women Lawyers and was named to its list of America’s Top Lawyers in 2025. She was a finalist for D.C. Managing Partner of the Year at the National Law Journal’s 2024 Legal Awards, and was honored as a Winning Litigator at the publication’s 2023 Legal Awards. That same year, she was recognized as Managing Partner of the Year at Corporate Counsel’s Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards, and was shortlisted for Litigator of the Year by Euromoney Legal Media Group at its 2023 Women in Business Law Americas Awards. Chantale has also been recognized as a leading national litigator and trial lawyer by The National Law Journal and The American Lawyer, among others. Additionally, she served for years as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, where she taught an advanced seminar on class action law and practice.
Barry Fishley

Barry heads Weil’s London Technology & IP Transactions practice and leads the office’s data privacy efforts. He is an internationally recognized privacy and cybersecurity lawyer. Barry has extensive experience advising major international companies and private equity funds on a range of issues relating to technology, IP and data privacy, including within the context of ESG. His clients include Advent International, Bain Capital, Brookfield, Lone Star and Providence Strategic Growth Partners. Barry is lauded for his Technology & IP Transactions practice by Legal 500 UK for showing “cutting-edge knowledge and keen commercial sense.”

He regularly represents intermediaries, buyers and sellers in asset manager mergers and acquisitions and complex GP-led single and multi-asset transactions.

Bambo is Co-Managing Partner of Weil’s Silicon Valley office, a member of the Firm’s national Complex Commercial Litigation practice, and an accomplished trial lawyer. He has more than a decade of experience litigating a wide array of commercial issues and disputes in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings. He has extensive experience at the trial and appellate levels in matters involving consumer class actions, alleged violations of state deceptive trade practice acts, product liability, breach of contract, employment disputes, and securities fraud.
Bambo was named a 2026 Leading Commercial Litigator by Daily Journal, and was named to the publication’s 2024 Top 100 Lawyers list. The publication also listed him among the Top 40 Under 40 attorney in California. Bambo has been named among Lawdragon’s lists of Leading Litigators, Leading Litigators in America and Leading Lawyers in America for 2026,and to the publication’s 500 X – The Next Generationlist in 2024. Kristin Sanford

Kristin focuses on mergers and acquisitions, government investigations and general antitrust counseling with experience across a wide range of industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, hospitality and retail, among others. She was recognized in Lawdragon’s 500 X – The Next Generation list in 2024, 2025 and 2026. She was also named to Lawdragon’s Leading Global Antitrust & Competition Lawyers list in 2025.
Kristin is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law, served as a Young Lawyer Representative for the Section’s Task Force on International Divergence of Dominance Standards, and has been a contributing editor to the ABA’s Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments.
Jannelle Marie Seales

Jannelle is Co-Head of Weil’s Real Estate practice and is based in New York. Jannelle’s practice is comprised of financing, joint ventures and acquisitions and dispositions. She also advises public and private companies and other institutional clients with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of real estate related companies. Over the last few years, Jannelle has advised MGM Resorts on nearly a dozen complex multi-billion dollar real estate transactions. She also regularly works with Amherst, Alliance Bernstein and Island Capital.
Jannelle is recommended for REITs by Legal 500 US, and she was named to Lawdragon’s list of Leading Real Estate Lawyers in 2024 and 2025 and to its Leading Dealmakers in America and Leading Real Estate Lawyers lists, also in 2025. Sophie Smith has built a reputation as one of the emerging leaders in European private funds, being named among Europe’s 25 best up-and-coming private equity lawyers by Law.com in 2022 and a Legal Rising Star by Private Funds CFO in 2023. She was also named Next Generation Partner by Legal 500 in 2021.
Sophie is a partner in the Private Funds Group in Weil’s London office. Sophie specializes in primary fundraisings and advises managers on carried interest, co-investments and other incentive arrangements. In addition, Sophie has significant ESG expertise, as well as advising widely on credit funds, impact and growth investing.
