Biography

Sophie Riley is counsel in the Banking & Finance group in the London office of Weil.
Sophie has acted for corporates, financial institutions and direct lenders on a wide range of financing transactions, including acting on cross-border leveraged finance, high-yield financings, restructurings and other complex transactions.
Prior to joining Weil, Sophie worked at a leading international firm in London and has also spent a year on secondment in the credit team of a leading international asset manager.
Relevant experience includes:
- acquisition financing of Morrisons by CD&R
- acting for the lenders in connection with Waterland’s acquisition of Cookware Co.
