Leah Deskins
Leah has experience with all stages of litigation, from pre-complaint investigations to discovery, motions practice, and trial, post-judgment matters, and settlement. Her experience spans a variety of industries, such as telecommunications, computing infrastructure, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, media, and government contracting. Leah also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in both trial and appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
Before joining Weil, Leah clerked for Judge M. Hannah Lauck on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and worked for another D.C. law firm. Leah serves on the board of Gifts for the Homeless, a nonprofit providing essential clothes and other items to homeless individuals in the D.C. metro area. She also serves on the junior board of Washington Performing Arts.
Leah received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law as a Karsh-Dillard Scholar. She received her B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, from the College of William & Mary.
