Janina Moutia-Bloom
Biography
Janina is an associate in the Private Funds Group in London. While she is a litigator by background, Janina specialises in Sustainability & ESG legal, regulatory advisory, compliance and disputes/enforcement matters. Janina advises international clients across a variety of sectors including energy, consumer & retail, financial institutions, tobacco, pharma, mining & metals, sovereigns and tech, on: the implications of EU “Green Deal” legislation; ESG litigation risk; participation in the voluntary carbon markets; compliance with sustainability reporting and due diligence legal obligations; and uplifts of clients’ sustainability and human rights policies, procedures and commitments.
At her previous firm, Janina co-led the global ESG Associates Working Group and was the only associate to sit on an internal General Counsel-convened committee on sustainability efforts and regulatory compliance, and has joined Weil’s equivalent groups as of January 2026.
Janina has lectured on Sustainability & ESG topics and has contributed to thought leadership publications including in partnership with the FT Moral Money Forum, co-authoring pieces on a range of ESG and Business & Human Rights issues.
Janina was previously a Parliamentary Aide at the European Parliament specialising in Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, Security and Defence.
