Eric Thornton
Eric Thornton is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Eric participates in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and general corporate matters.

- Brookfield Renewable in its sale of three operational projects in Uruguay to Cubico Sustainable Investments
- CVC Capital Partners and its portfolio company MedRisk in its acquisition of Conduent’s Casualty Claims Solutions business
- Macquarie Infrastructure Partners in its acquisition of DTG Recycle
- Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation in its $4.4 billion sale of Atlantic Aviation to KKR
- Macquarie Asset Management and its portfolio company Lakeshore Recycling Systems in its acquisition of GHW Waste Services
- Mill Rock Capital in its acquisition of Asbury Carbons
- Mubadala Investment Company in its acquisition of a stake in Dental Care Alliance
- Quad-C Management in its acquisition of QED Technologies International
- Ridgewood Infrastructure in its sale of its stake in the Vista Ridge water pipeline in San Antonio, Texas
- Riverbed Technology on its sale to Vector Capital
- Apollomics Inc. on its business combination with Maxpro Capital Acquisition Corp.
Prior to joining Weil, Eric was an associate at another international law firm where he completed a secondment with Macquarie Asset Management.
Eric received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, his M.B.A. from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business, and his B.A. from Arizona State University.
