Emily Shlafmitz is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice, where she focuses on litigating a broad range of complex commercial cases in state and federal courts nationwide.

Some of her most recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:

  • One of the largest cryptocurrency mining and hosting companies in North America, with respect to pre-petition claims.
  • A financial institution and its SPAC directors and officers in stockholder litigation arising out of a de-SPAC transaction.

Emily also maintains an active pro bono practice, including work with the Innocence Project evaluating an applicant’s case, and representing individuals seeking immigration relief through Project Rousseau and Legal Services NYC.

Emily received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where she was an Executive Editor for Law & Contemporary Problems and a Board Member and Interscholastic Coordinator for Moot Court. Emily earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Colgate University.
