AJ Febles
AJ is also actively involved in Weil’s pro bono initiatives and the Firm’s career development and mentoring programs.
Prior to joining Weil, AJ served as a law clerk to the Honorable Melissa R. DuBose of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. She also worked as a policy analyst and legislative assistant for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C., and taught in Indonesia as a Fulbright Scholar. AJ is a founding member of the Rhode Island Black Women Lawyer’s Association.
AJ began her legal career at other leading law firms. She worked as an associate assisting private equity clients, and private and public companies with mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, IPO’s, and corporate governance.
AJ received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was a staff editor of the International Law Journal, and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She earned her B.A. from Wheaton College, graduating with honors.
