Weil’s Private Funds team has been named Legal Advisor of the Year at Mergermarket’s European Private Equity Awards 2026, which recognizes the firms, dealmakers, fundraisings and transactions shaping private equity across Europe.

The award caps a standout year for Weil’s Private Funds practice, which has strengthened its position at the top end of the European funds market, advising on some of the region’s most significant and innovative fundraisings over the past 12 months.

The breadth and depth of Weil’s London private capital platform under the leadership of Co-Heads, James Sargent and James Bromley, advises across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate, from emerging managers to the world’s largest institutional sponsors, combining sophisticated funds, transactional and regulatory capabilities to execute strategically important mandates.

For more than 20 years, the Mergermarket Private Equity Awards have set a benchmark for excellence in private equity. Entries were assessed by an independent judging panel to determine the shortlist, with winners subsequently decided by public vote.
