Jeff Homrig to Anchor New Office
February 02, 2026
AUSTIN, February 2, 2026: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP today announced the opening of its new Austin office, anchored by Jeff Homrig, Co-Head of the Firm’s IP, Technology & Science Litigation practice. A nationally acclaimed trial lawyer, Jeff is known for handling complex, high-stakes disputes for the world's most innovative technology and life sciences companies.
Weil’s new office – its third in the Lone Star State – accelerates the Firm’s deepening commitment to Texas and the Southwest, building on a distinguished legacy of client service in the state, with offices in Dallas and Houston that have flourished for more than 30 years. This opening follows Weil’s 10-year lease renewal on its office in Dallas – signing onto approximately 69,000 square feet in the Crescent, one of Uptown’s premier properties last month – and the Firm’s celebration of 40 years in Houston this past November.
“We are excited to be continuing our investment in this important market by opening an office in Austin – a key destination for IP, tech‑driven commercial litigation and corporate transactions,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “We are committed to delivering top-tier expertise and client service to companies across the city's fast-growing tech and life sciences sectors.”
Weil’s new Austin office will house commercial litigation and corporate practices – with IP litigation serving as its initial focus. With this new location in the state capital, Weil is also positioning itself at the heart of the regulatory and technological shifts shaping the future.
“Our new Austin office is a cornerstone of our broader Texas strategy,” said Jeff Homrig. “We are making significant investments in growth across the region, and Austin’s technology ecosystem and deep talent pipeline make it a natural home for IP and commercial litigators – and, increasingly, corporate dealmakers. We aim to quickly become the go-to firm for these critical matters in this highly competitive market.”
Joining Jeff to spearhead this first phase of growth is corporate partner Nicholas Doloresco, who advises public and private companies and private equity firms in a variety of transactional matters, along with a founding team of associates focused on intellectual property litigation.
The new office is located at 600 Congress Avenue, a prominent 32-story skyscraper also known as One American Center at 6th and Congress. The building features a distinctive atrium, terraces, modern amenities (fitness, dining, bike garage), LEED/Energy Star certifications and a central downtown location near the Capitol. It offers easy access to Austin’s vibrant entertainment and retail areas, and the historic Congress Avenue Bridge.
