Weil is advising InfraBridge – a division of leading global alternative asset manager DigitalBridge – on its sale of a 51% shareholding in a newly formed holding company that will own 100% of Leeds Bradford Airport and 49% of Newcastle International Airport to Aena, the world’s number one airport operator by passenger numbers. InfraBridge will continue to manage a 49% shareholding in the newly formed holding company which owns 100% of Leeds Bradford Airport and 49% of Newcastle International Airport. The transaction values the stake at approximately £270 million. Both airports will continue to be operated and managed independently of each other. Leeds Bradford airport plays a critical role in supporting regional connectivity and economic development in Leeds, Bradford and across Yorkshire, and Newcastle airport serves as a gateway to the North East of England. This transaction highlights the strong performance and long-term potential of both airports.
